Mega Man 3 Special Weapons

I've been wondering; how come Mega Man doesn't keep the weapons he acquires in previous games?
Needle Cannon
This is Needle Man's special weapon. It's a rapid-fire weapon that pretty much makes Swiss Cheese out of Snake Man and the Doc Robot mimicking Wood Man.
Magnet Missile
This is Magnet Man's special weapon. It pretty much attracts itself to the closest enemy. Pretty effective against Hard Man and the Air Man and Metal Man Doc Robots.
Gemini Laser
This is Gemini Man's special weapon. It's a beam that can bounce off walls and ceilings. The only drawback are that Mega Man can't fire another one or switch weapons until the beam leaves the screen. It's super effective against Needle Man and the Doc Robots mimicking Quick and Flash Man.
Hard Knuckle
This is Hard Man's special weapon. It's a rock-hard fist that can smash down certain wall, as well as Top Man, the Crash Man Doc Robot and the Yellow Devil Mk. II.
Top Spin
This is Top Man's special weapon. You pretty much attack enemies by spinning. It's pretty awkward to use since it can sometimes use up all its energy in one go, not to mention you could take damage. Be careful when using it on Shadow Man, the Heat Man Doc Robot and Gamma.
Search Snake
This is Snake Man's special weapon. It launches cute little snakes that can crawl up walls. Sic 'em on Gemini Man, Quick and Wood Doc Robots and the Hologram Mega Men.
Spark Shock
This is Spark Man's special weapon which he uses to either fire sparks in all direction or hurl a big ball of electricity at Mega Man. When the Blue Bomber uses it, he can paralyze enemies with a electric shock. You can't switch weapons until the shock wears off, however. Give Magnet Man, Air and Bubble Doc Robots and the Wily Machine a real shock!
Shadow Blade
This is Shadow Man's special weapon. It's pretty much a dummied down Metal Blade. Use it to chop up Magnet Man, Spark Man, Bubble and Heat Doc Robots and the Kamegoro.
